I adapted Bertolt Brecht’s He Who Said Yes, He Who Said No in 2013 for the company I co-founded in Iran (the Vaahe Art Collective). With musicians and poets, we rendered this play into poetry and made it into a musical, using classical Persian music. This play was selected for a month-long public performance at the 16th Iran International Festival of University Theatre. It was also nominated for Best Play and won a number of awards in acting, costume, and poster designs. The popularity of the production led to its selection as part of the Iran international Fajr Festival in 2014.
